Ties with Israel will cost our support:

Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam conducted a demonstration at Chennai today to protest against the pro Israel attitude of the Manmohan Singh led UPA Government. TMMK considers the relationship with Israel as a violation of the commitment given in the Common Minimum Programme. This demonstration was organised specifically to protest against the recent launch of Israel’s spy satellite Tescar from Sriharikotta Satellite Launch Station and the lukewarm attitude of the Manmohan Singh Government with regard to gross Human Rights violations indulged in by Israel at Gaza.

 The Common Minimum Programme of the UPA government specifically states the following:

  “Traditional ties with West Asia will be given a fresh thrust. The UPA government reiterates India’s decades-old commitment to the cause of the Palestinian people for a homeland of their own.”  

However in contravention to this commitment the Manmohan Singh government has allowed Israel to use the facilities at Sriharikotta Space Centre to launch a spy satellite Tescar on January 21. The UPA’s common minimum programme states that traditional ties with West Asia will be given a fresh thrust. However the Tescar spy satellite has been specifically launched by Israel to spy on Iran and other countries of West Asia who have been in the words of UPA’s CMP our traditional allies. With the launch of Israel’s spy satellite from Sriharikotta the Manmohan Singh Government has not given a fresh thrust to improve our traditional ties but a fresh thrust to demolish our traditional ties with West Asia government.

The Manmohan Singh has turned a blind eye towards the grave Human Rights violations committed by Israel against the hapless people of Palestine especially the residents of Gaza.  The Gaza strip is now an open air concentration camp where day in and day out Israel is committing acts of terror against the civilian population. The UPA’s Common Minimum Programme has committed itself to assist in procuring a homeland for Palestine people. But the Manmohan Singh Government is hobnobbing with Israel which is robbing even the minimum rights of the Palestine people.

Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam vehemently protests the Manmohan Singh Government’s bonhomie with Israel, which has been rightly described as a nation born out of terrorist activities by none else than the father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. TMMK demands that UPA government should immediately severe the diplomatic ties with Israel. TMMK warns that if the Manmohan Singh Government continues to foster its friendship with the terrorist Israel, it would be compelled to oppose the Congress in the ensuing elections.

 Prof. M.H.Jawahirullah, President TMMK led the demonstration in which Mr. S. Hyder Ali, General Secretary, O.U.Rahmatullah, Treasurer as well as large number of men and women protested against the Manmohan Singh Government.
